Project Description: The Lakonca Craft-Industrial Zone project focuses on developing business infrastructure in the area of the former mining complex in Trbovlje. The project’s goal is to establish utility and transport infrastructure to facilitate the expansion of existing businesses, the establishment of new ones, and the promotion of innovation in the region. The project includes the construction of roads, water supply, sewer networks, and other essential economic infrastructure required for the effective operation of the business zone.

The project supports the transition to a sustainable and low-carbon economy, contributing to regional restructuring and revitalization. The craft-industrial zone will enable the growth of high value-added businesses, enhance regional competitiveness, and create new job opportunities. It emphasizes reducing unemployment, attracting investments, and fostering the long-term economic development of Trbovlje and the broader Zasavje region.

In addition to economic benefits, the project will improve the quality of life for local residents by revitalizing a degraded area and promoting sustainable practices.
